TROOP PROGRAM

We meet at Warm Springs Elementary School on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm (except during school holidays and the Monday after a campout). During our meetings which are planned by the scouts themselves, we work on Scout skills, advancement, merit badges, and fun. We also plan for upcoming camp outs and outings. Please feel free to drop in and visit--contact us first to make sure we are at our regular meeting location.

We have at least one scheduled camp out or outing each month. To see the places we are going, look at our current calendar, or to see where we have been, take a look at our Recent Activities page.

Last year (2009) the troop attended one week of Summer Camp at Camp Royaneh and a second week of Summer Camp at Camp Marin Sierra. The scouts earned some of the following merit badges: Art, Astronomy, Camping, Cooking, Environmental Science, First Aid, Indian Lore, Leatherwork, Lifesaving, Nature, Orienteering, Pioneering, Rifle Shooting, Row Boating, Shooting Gun Shooting, Sailing, Soil & Water Conservation, Swimming, Weather, Wilderness Survival, and Wood Carving. As you can see a lot of new skills were learned and lots of fun was had by all.

This year (2010) the troop has planned two different summer camps--one week at Camp Wente and a second week at Camp Wolfeboro.  Our Venture Patrol has also planned several high adventure trips for the older scouts including a white water trip in June.
